Overview

Come join our  dynamic team!  The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in planning, executing, tracking and analyzing marketing campaign strategies to an assortment of target audiences.   Working in a distributed marketing platform system, the candidate must have the ability to understand campaign calendaring, swiftly and accurately create email campaigns, test the various elements across different devices, and report on metrics such as open rates, click through rates, etc.  Flexibility and collaboration are a must – and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access along with a working knowledge of HTML coding and Google Tag Management is a plus. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing agent and consumer driven marketing strategy and communication plans to ensure consistency of messaging, and alignment with the company’s strategic vision and goals. Proactively shares marketing communication plans and vehicles with appropriate stakeholders, including internal audiences. Ensure all marketing communication strategies enhance Selective’s brand position. Utilize multi-channel marketing communication solutions targeted to different audience segments/needs.
  • Utilize measurement processes to gauge marketing communication success and enhance responsiveness of different agent and customer groups and measure return on investment. Utilize functional metrics and measurement processes as a critical success factor. 
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Business Units, the Strategic Operations Group and field staff to develop and deploy marketing strategy and tactics that support their agency management plans and the company’s strategic vision.
  • Design, write and edit marketing communication vehicles including electronic and print collateral materials, presentations, internet/intranet sites and other communication and marketing vehicles. Ensure clear/precise writing and design, and audio-visual elements, thorough/persuasive verbal communications and simple but high-impact group presentations and/or materials.
  • Utilize innovative video, graphic, internet/intranet solutions to support marketing communication strategies of agents and consumers. Take traditional and digital photographs for printed materials, Internet/Intranet and other marketing communication purposes.
  • Maintain positive relationships with management and internal/external business clients. Work in partnership with the Communication and Marketing Communication teams to ensure consistent messaging to all key audiences.
  • Focus on successful achievement of the strategies and key initiatives at the individual, departmental and corporate levels. Manage challenging workload and competing priorities.

 

Qualifications

  • Keeps abreast of industry emerging practice and best-in-class marketing, communication initiatives, and strategies.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the insurance business model.
  • Thorough knowledge of Word and PowerPoint software.
  • Must be creative and proactive and possesses a strong results-driven business orientation in developing and executing marketing communication strategy.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and be a good listener.
  • College degree in marketing or related field preferred. 
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing creating/developing marketing materials brochures, presentations, and other written, video, or graphic materials.
