Overview

Provides vital support to the organization for Information Delivery through the implementation of solutions that meet the business information needs. Understands the business information needs across the organization and implements solutions in partnership with IT as well as optimizing our investment in decision support tools. Includes educating consumers on information that is available and providing training for delivery platforms. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, authors and tests reports. Updates and distributes scheduled recurring reports. Run, test, distribute and make enhancements to existing production reports.
  • Transfers business needs into detailed business requirements and develops formalized test plans for reports. 
  • Identifies data problems and discrepancies; works with IT personnel and other departments to correct any data problems that are found.
  • Works with other team members, business users and IT staff members to determine needs for additional enhancements to existing Underwriting Reports, which will allow business users to more effectively use the underwriting data to support their needs. 
  • Collaborates with team members and Manager on complex analytical and underwriting projects/activities. 
  • Assists in preparation of training documentation and facilitation of training in field of expertise. 

Qualifications

  • Proficient use of Excel, Access, SQL, Cognos, or other software to analyze and interpret data.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Good customer service, networking, and relationship building skills.
  • General insurance industry knowledge .
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • College degree preferred.
  • 1+ years Risk Management, Field Underwriting or Agency experience.
  • 1+ years specific Business Segment experience.
  • 2+ years Underwriting, Claims, Loss Control, or other insurance-related experience.
