  • Overview

    Learn to evaluate and process workers compensation claims by the successful completion of our training (may include on-the-job, self-study, and classroom).  Learns claim investigation, policy coverage, litigation, medical and claim resolution. Responsibilities include effective and consistent partnership with the employer, injured worker and medical provider; administration of benefits, litigation management and claim resolution.
    All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.



    • Attend training program and meet all requirements associated with completion of hosted coursework.
    • Provide voice to voice contact  same day of first report.
    • Obtain facts from insures, injured workers, claimants, agents, witnesses, attorney and/or underwriters.
    • Maintain contact throughout the life of the file, as needed.
    • Determine coverage/compensability, facts of loss and degree of liability/exposure.
    • Work closely with Team Lead to promptly resolve claim issues.
    • Refer claims as appropriate and timely, based on exposure and established guidelines.
    • Maintain quality claim files in accordance with appropriate WC QA Guidelines, recognize and implement alternate means of resolution.
    • Provide customer service contact to give, receive or exchange information.
    • Ability to obtain a claim adjuster license is required.



    • Energetic team player with excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize daily assignments.
    • Must be highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
    • Must show sound, balanced and timely decision making skills.
    • High School diploma or equivalent and College degree preferred.
    • Following Education/Experience preferred:
    • Proficient in most standard business software applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook), Internet and HRIS.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and ability to travel.
    • Within 1 year the trainee should be a fully designated Claim Professional in compliance with the standards set by multi state jurisdictions.
