  • Overview

    Designs and develops eLearning modules to increase company usage of technology based training. Provides technical expertise required to produce an online training solution, both synchronous and asynchronous. Works with project team members and clients to build web based multimedia training and communications. Facilitates instructor led training, webinars and technology based training programs. Administration of the Selective Learning Center (LMS). All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.


    • eLearning course authoring including the design and development of eLearning courses using a variety of software applications, including Storyline, Camtasia, PowerPoint, WebEx, as well as other course authoring tools as needed. Converts Instructor Led Training courses to eLearning modules. Consults with subject matter experts to determine program objectives and gather information used in the development of eLearning courses. Application of instructional design techniques and adult learning theory. Provides technical support as needed for facilitating training programs.
    • Design, develop, implement and maintain collaboration and publishing websites for the department through the use of Sharepoint or other systems. Assists team members and clients in the design, development and implementation of new sites. Review/create Policies and Procedures documentation. 
    • Learning Management System Administrator tasks including maintain, manage and report on all activity in the LMS. Build curriculums, publish courses and assign to employees. Lead efforts to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve LMS-related system issues. Manage and test system upgrades, including mobile capabilities and mobile delivery of content.
    • Partner with additional business areas to assist with the development of eLearning training modules, as needed. This refers to departments outside of the insurance operations area.
    • Creates, maintains and aggregates data associated with the LMS. Create quarterly reports regarding utilization, active licenses, etc.. Assists others with use of webinar tools to create effective virtual synchronous learning programs.
    • Acts as a liaison with company internal presenters and outside vendors. Coordinates with outside educational institutions as warranted. Manage relationships with eLearning vendors. Act as liaison between the subject matter experts and vendors to facilitate the development of eLearning modules. 
    • Coordinates communication regarding marketing and registration process for the LMS to drive utilization. Works collaboratively with team members and clients.


    • Must possess strong PC skills, including direct experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. 
    • Knowledge of eLearning systems and tools (Storyline, Camtasia, and Cornerstone) and eLearning Instructional Design.
    • Knowledge of web based systems ( WebEx, Limelight, Sharepoint).
    • An understanding of instructional methodologies. 
    • Excellent communication skills, including editing and proofreading skills.
    • Excellent collaboration skills, working with project teams. 
    • Must have valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing. 
    • Must have the ability to travel.
    • College degree preferred. 
    • 1-3 years project administration experience preferred.
    • 1-3 years experience in eLearning Course Authoring
    • 1-3 years experience in Learning Management System Administration
    • 1-3 years experience with Sharepoint Collaboration/Publishing 
    • Must maintain confidentiality, exhibit good decision making, exercise independent judgment, initiative, and tact with dealing with management, supervisors, staff, and the general public. 
    • Must be enthusiastic, a self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Must possess ability to understand departmental operations and procedures, and must be able to organize projects, prioritize workflow, and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately.
