  • Overview

    To provide guidance and assistance regarding products and services to corporate and regional personnel, as well as agents in the areas of underwriting, claims, loss control, and marketing. Drives new business production and develops profitable growth opportunities with current and new distribution partners. Enables the SBU’s to produce acceptable growth levels, profitability and return on equity in support of corporate growth strategies. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.


    • Establishes and achieves production and profitability goals in the assigned territory for personal lines by identifying key agents, new business opportunities, and new agency appointments.
    • Monitors and analyzes business segments results and achievements. Makes recommendations and implements modifications in order to maximize those results or achievements.
    • Provides technical information and develops and conducts training or marketing and technical presentations to internal and external audiences on business segment's products and services.
    • Performs agency management duties including new agency prospecting, appointing, contract execution and on boarding. Monitors and analyzes business segments, territory and agency results and achievements. Makes recommendations and implements modifications in order to maximize those results or achievements.
    • Develops and implements marketing strategies. 
    • Assists in recommending and developing product pricing. 
    • Performs all or some of the following duties, as required: Reviews applications and financial requirements for potential risk selection, identifies book roll opportunities, provides a review and analysis of the book roll opportunity and makes recommendations to management. Facilitates these types of new business opportunities.
    • Gathers and relays competitive market intelligence and conducts rate review analysis, as required. Assists in recommending and developing product pricing personal lines.
    • Must be able to drive an automobile to travel within territory. Car travel represents approximately 75-80% of employee’s time.


    • Possesses superior overall insurance knowledge.
    • Must have valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing and be able to drive an automobile.
    • High School diploma.
    • College degree preferred. 
    • 1 year Computer Operations (PC) experience preferred.
    • 3-7 years Claims experience preferred.
    • 3-7 years marketing experience preferred.
